Question:
Why am I frequently missing tee shots with my Driver?
Answer:
Several things to check for missed shots:
Check the tee being used. If you are using a light colored basket tee (white, yellow, green) that may appear white in the near infrared spectrum. This might explain the missed driver shots. If you are using a thick white rubber tee, commonly found in outdoor driving ranges, it could interfere with the tracking. If this is the case, we recommend wrapping the barrel of the rubber tee with black non-reflective tape, such as electrical tape.
Here is an example of a light colored Birdee Tee. Notice how the shape of the ball is extended in infrared spectrum in the middle image below.

View the driver in the live camera to check for potential unusual glare or white markings on the driver head.
Check for other items that might be in the camera's field of view. For example, are there golf balls near the tee or golf balls between the tee and the screen. Golf balls near the screen can potentially interfere with tracking.
If the ball placement is near the outside of the camera field of view, it could cause a shot to be missed if the the ball exits the field of view early in the shot. e.g. if the ball is teed up on the right side near the edge of the field of view and your shot starts off to the right, it will leave the field of view quickly and hinder the ability for the camera to track the shot.
Lighting. Not a common problem, but I'll check for overexposure of the tee area, such as might occur if natural sunlight is coming through a window or if halogen or fluorescent lights are illuminating the tee area.
