Some customers are encountering problems with short chips to the green, with excessive rollout. Our software team is working on the ground impact physics to improve the excessive roll-out problem. Once this issue is addressed, an updated version of the game will be available for free download.
As a workaround, you can putt from off the green. The key is to change the club type to Putter, so the camera system knows to expect much lower ball velocities. Otherwise, a typical ball speed for a putt (5 to 10 MPH) will be too slow to register.
When close to the green, try changing your club type to Putter and then putt. Remember the type of grass you are putting through. It might be rough, fairway, or fringe. The longer grass, such as rough, will require a higher ball velocity for the ball to "roll through" the taller grass represented by the rough.
