The distance from the RSG Mobile phone to the screen (or net) has a big impact on the measured ball speed, and therefore carry and total distance for the shot. I suspect you are seeing unusually short distances because this measurement is not correct.
There are two methods for establishing the distance from the phone to the screen. The first method involves scanning the ground, placing a flag at the intersection of the screen and floor, and then walking back to the location where the phone will be placed.
The second method involves measuring the distance with a tape measure and then manually entering the distance.
If the distance is not measured correctly, it will produce incorrect ball velocity and incorrect shot distances.
Please take a look at this article for an explanation of how to manually enter the distance. Step 11 has the following:
Step 11 - Manually Establishing the Marker (Preferred Method): In the event your RSG Mobile app cannot correctly identify the depth of your space, you may need to manually measure and enter this distance. To do so, click the three dots marked in the upper right corner.
Click “Enter Distance”
Then enter your measured distance from your device to your screen then click “Confirm”
