Problem:
A weak WI-FI signal may interfere with the reliability of the Ethernet connection to the RSG Launch Monitor.
When this happens, the symptom will be intermittent loss of connection to the RSG Camera(s). Resulting in a loss of arming or tracking. Depending upon the relative weakness of the WI-FI signal, this might be an occasional loss, or when profound, may result in connection loss every few golf shots
Solution:
1st Choice
Ensure a WI-FI antenna is connected to the PC to give you the strongest connection to your available signal. WI-FI antennas come in a variety of forms. Some are a pair of antenna that connect individually to the back of your PC. Others have pair of antenna on a stand connecting to a USB port on your PC.
2nd Choice
Microsoft Windows allows for establishing relative priority on the ethernet adaptors for WI-FI as well as RJ-45 port used for the ethernet cable connected to the RSG Launch Monitor.
Go to the ethernet adaptor for your WI-FI and then for your RJ-45 port. You can establish a relative priority by pressing the “Advanced” button (1) and then unchecking the “Automatic metric” (2) and then enter a relatively priority in the available spot (3).
For the WI-FI adaptor, set the priority to a high number, such as 50. For the RSG Launch monitor, set the priority to a relatively low number, such as 5.
