LMonitor Works for 3ball Setup, but doesn’t for the Golf Game

Problem Description: 

Got the Nova monitor red lights on by doing a 3-ball setup. When setting up for practice or a game, it still shows the device(camera) not connected. When all was well, the RGS icon appeared on the taskbar along with another icon. Now there is only the RGS icon on the taskbar when bringing up the game.

Solution: 

If the LMonitor program connects with the Smart Camera(s) during 3-ball setup, then the Ethernet adaptor, Ethernet cable, and launch monitor are probably working correctly. 

I recommend launching the golf game and going to Settings to verify the launch monitor selection matches the RSG  One (equivalent to Nova).   It may be set to one of the other launch monitors, which is why it isn't establishing contact with the Nova when the game is launched.  If you make a change to the launch monitor setting, then the game will invite you to exit.  This is normal.   Restart the game, and the setting should be on what you selected.

If the settings are already set correctly, then we should check the version of LMonitor installed on your PC with the game is the correct version.

Go to the desktop shortcut for LMonitor and use the Right Mouse Button to choose the pop-up menu option "Open File Location".

In that folder, locate the LMonitor.exe and verify the date is May 5th, 2025.  It should look like this: 

If it has a different date, then we should rerun the installer for RSG One.
